The local area is a haven for walkers and naturalists. Peregrine falcons and fulmars nest in the cliffs. The sign at the end of the lane reads 'To the Coastpath' and you can essentially walk directly from the cottage along the South West Coastpath in either direction. Take you pick from Tintagel Castle (and cafe) and Merlin's Cove (15 mins) and on to Trebarwith Strand and the lovely Port William Pub (approx.1 hr). Or Bossiney Haven beach (15 mins), Rocky Valley, St Nectan's Glen and Boscastle (approximately a 1 1/2 hour walk)

The historic villages of both Tintagel and Boscastle are a five minute drive away and both can be reached via the coast path.

St Edward's is located within the historic hamlet of Bossiney, which is linked to Tintagel. The remains of the ‘mote and bailey’ castle or ‘Bossiney Mound as it has become known are believed to have contained King Arthurs’ original round table.
